New Feature Released: Lock Value
We are excited to announce the release of our latest feature: Lock Value.
This feature lets you lock certain fields on your forms so that customers cannot edit them. It’s especially useful when you need to ensure that specific values stay fixed.
Lock the default value so that it can't be changed
I would like to be able to set a default value and lock the value so that it can't be changed. Right now, I have one field that needs to change for every waiver, but that the user can NOT be allowed to change when he fills in the waiver online. One of the two ways above would allow me to do this.

How It Works:
Field Editing:
In the field editing panel, you’ll see a new checkbox labeled “Prevent customer editing.” Check this box to lock the field.
Compatibility:
This feature doesn’t apply to image, text, signature, container, or separator fields.
Prefill:
You can still prefill locked fields, but customers won’t be able to change them during signing.
Interaction with Renewable Fields:
Lock Value and Renewable options can’t be used together. If you select one, the other will be deselected automatically.
Signing Process:
Locked fields can’t be edited during signing, and this is supported across all platforms.
